Thank you for looking at my blog. It's a bit out of date at the moment. Life seems to have a habit of getting in the way.
You are right about that formula. It is Rayleigh's formula for explaining why the sky appears to be a more intense blue directly over head and much paler at the horizon. I had a lot of fun making that quilt. It was for a Quiltart.com online challenge. The question was "Why is the Sky Blue?" I have a science back ground and the question appealed to me.
My sewing room was a lovely light place. We sold that house last week, so I don't have it any more but the new house we are in has an "eerie" for me to sew in! It is right at the top of the house and has 200 degree views over Hobart. Mountain and river! Not too sure how much sewing I will get done! I might just end up looking at the ever changing view.
I just had a peek at your blogs. London in Autumn is beautiful - I lived there for a year when I was 11. I still have very vivid memories of the parks in their full autumn glory. Vancouver is my second favourite city in the world. Been there 3 times and can't wait to get back there one day. And then there is Melbourne at Cup time! Wow! My adventures in Melbourne are usually shopping trips (it's a 1 hour flight from where I live) or trips to the cricket (Ashes tours only).
I love your quilts. So creative and imaginative.
