It is way Too Hot!

Night before last we became grand parents again!  Eleanor Genevieve was born at 11.41pm on Feb 23rd.  She weighed in at a very respectable 4.230 kilo! (about 9 and a half pounds!  That makes grand baby number 10!  The plan was that we would go and visit and have baby cuddles this morning!  Not to be!

I woke up this morning feeling yucky! I think I have caught myself a bug of some sort! Not happy! So, no baby visits and cuddles!  :(  To make matters worse the forecast for today is 38 degrees C! That's yucky too!  Way too hot.

The coolest place in the house this morning was my studio, so I dragged myself down there and played!  By the time the temperature had hit 38.8 degrees I had finished this 12 x 12 quilt for the SAQA annual auction.  I still feel yucky but at least I've achieved something.

Birds in the Moonlight

(gelatine plate monoprint, hand dyed cotton and cotton cheese cloth, free motion quilted and hand painted.)

I'm reasonably happy!  I just wish I felt better!

It looks good, Sally. At least you accomplished something today. Such a shame you missed out on cuddles, though.
Get better soon. xx

Nice quilt, Sally. I will look for it at the SAQA auction - if it doesn't go to Houston for the "special sale". Love, Del
