My flaunt! Not a block or a quilt - a scarf!!!! I haven't knitted for years, but when I was cleaning up my sewing room on Sunday morning I found the pattern for this! - I was cleaning up for a Mother-in-Law visit!
To be quilty, my last post I'm really happy with - so far, so good!

It's lovely. what is the stitch and is it difficult? Lucky you live in Tassie at least it will get a lot of use:)
This looks a bit like the scarf i am knitting (it's called "faggot" stitch and I guess it does look a bit like fagotting , but I still don't like the name). Pretty good for a Friday flaunt - and I love the gelatine prints you did this week too!
Thank you Dorothy,
The pattern is p2, yrn, p2tgr, k2, p2 24 stitches on the needles. Got the rhythm happening and the scarf just grew. Is that pattern fagoting? I can't remember. The problem was when to stop! The pattern said it was a one ball pattern but I used 1 1/4 balls - 8 ply, no 6 needles.

nice scarf, is it a pressent for the mil
Finished scarves are definitely worth flaunting... looks lovely.
Re: when to stop - 1.8m to 2.0m is a good length... though if you want to do fancy knotting around the neck, even longer is good
Thank you Frou. 1.9m was where I stopped! It felt right!
No Birdwoman, the scarf is not for MiL. It's definitely for me. The pic doen't show the colour properly - It is the deepest purple. I photographed it in the setting sun. I have a horrible feeling I could end up a Red Hat Lady! How much fun would that be!
