I think I did it!
If you have been watching the stuff I've been doing recently you might remember this little piece.
I've now quilted it and attached it to a artists canvas.
I decided to leave all the funny edges as they were - in other works - I didn't square it up! I really like the jagged edges.
If you click on this photo you can see the quilting!
I've stitched it to the canvas now!
I'm loving it!
I really like this - I might need to add a leaf or two but maybe not - I'll have a big long think about that!
Thank you so much Laura Kemshall for showing me how to do this!
I'd really love to know what you think.

wow, I am impressed and intrigued.. what did you paint over the top? And then have you washed/rubbed it away, or painted something else over..

Love it!
Yes, intrigued is the word - paintstix? chiffon overlay? discharge paste?(!!!) You've ended up with a sophisticated finish Cx
Intriguing Sally. I'm amazed at the end result. The beginning did not lead me to pre think the end result. Well done. I like. I like very much. :)
Doesnt need a thing .... though I would have to try a few cutouts just in case .... but love it like it is!

I too wondered where this piece was going, I consider myself an art quilter but this process has captured my attention, could you please tell us more about the process or point us at the course or workshop where you dicovered this technique, I am amazed. Thanks for sharing, not sure if the bottom of the canvas is a little long, maybe a signature might help balance it..this may just be the photograph maybe OK in real life..cheers Pat Dwyer
Sally!! How very cool this turned out!!! Aren't you glad you did it now!!! A great piece!!!! Fantastic!
Very clever.....as mentioned before I suspect you are having too much fun....LOL.
It is looking great Sally! Have you emailed a picture to Laura & Linda?
Quite a nice trip that this piece has taken. I zoomed in for a close-up and it's way cool!
YOu are doing some great work Sally. Sounds like you are having so much fun too.
This is so fabulous, Sally! I just watched Laura's lesson last night and then found this -- it's fabulous. I especially love that leafy part!
